Sunday started out cloudy and moody, but on the bright side, I got to see more elk on Highway 101 while heading to Arcadia Beach.
I stopped at Arcadia Beach on Saturday afternoon while on the way to Seaside, but the parking lot was full. So I moved it to the top of my list for Sunday.
The first sea stack on Arcadia Beach is Lion Rock.
Further down the beach are the sea stacks Jockey Cap and Silver Point Rock.
The sky was looking more cheerly by the time we got down to Cannon Beach. The clouds were also amazing and constantly changing.
The clouds started to get dark again as we headed back to the van.
Then it was clear skies on Cannon Beach on Monday! Clear skies and a very low tide.
There were some amazing patterns in the sand that were revealed/created during the low tide.
After Cannon Beach, we drove into Ecola State Park to visit Indian Beach. In Ecola State Park you drive along a windy road through some beautiful redwoods (should have taken some pictures of that). Indian Beach was very nice and another popular spot for surfing.
