I actually went to Ruby Beach on Friday, Sept 4th, but I thought it made sense to do one post on the Kalaloch Beaches. Ruby Beach was a definite treat. Kudos to my brother, Mark, for suggesting visits to Kalaloch and Ruby Beach.
I got to Ruby Beach early in the morning so I didn’t have to deal with as many people in my pictures. Then I we walked further down the beach than most people do. It was nice getting to photograph large rock formations with big trees growing on them. And again, why didn’t I have clouds like these when I was in Oregon?
I call these natural bonsai trees. I assume trees like this were inspiration to the original creators of bonsai trees. I love how nature can shape living things.
By the time we got back to the van, the parking lot was full! And it’s a big parking lot! So I didn’t think there was any chance of it filling up. It would be nice to go back to Ruby Beach for sunset. Just afraid a lot of people will have the same idea…
