I’m planning to do overnight stays a state parks to keep travel costs down while traveling between National Parks. Tonight, I’m staying at General Burnside Island State Park in Kentucky. Never expected to find an island state park in Kentucky! It’s very well maintained and even has a golf course.
I really lucked out with my camp site choice. It is directly across from the bath house. My solar shower does a good jobs, but it was so nice having a warm shower in an air conditioned bath house. After washing up, I was going to see if there was a laundry mat in town, but there are 2 washers and dryers at the bath house!!! I’ve been washing clothes in a basin while camping. That gets rid of the smell, but not the stains. Hopefully, the stains will be gone after the machine wash.
The camp site also has power, so I can get all my devices charged up.
Hallelujah, clean clothes! One of life’s simple pleasures.
